On the cover... The Ransom Rest, featured on the cover of this issue, provides a precision accuracy-testing tool for handguns and loads. The rest may be used with any handgun for which adapter plates are available, which includes almost all competition and hunting class guns. It was used in an extensive ,357 and .44 Magnum velocity/accuracy test, reported on Page 22 of this issue. The exposure for the 4x5 Ektachrome transparency by Richard Aldis was 1/25second a? f45, using a 4x5 Graphic View.
